Membership Categories

Full Members

Full Members are entitled to all privileges connected with membership of the Club and shall be entitled to vote and hold office on the Board of the Club. This includes full unlimited access to the wonderful array of facilities including the 18 hole Championship golf course, five practice areas including the main driving range, tennis courts, and Clubhouse.

Provisional Full Members

New persons joining the Club as a Full Member are initially admitted to Provisional Full Membership. This provides all of the privileges of Full Membership, with the exception of not being able to book for tee times in the Wednesday competition field, and in the Saturday competition field until 6:15am the day before. Provisional Full Members are also not permitted to vote or hold office.

Corporate Members

Corporate Members have the same golfing entitlements as Full Members of the Club.

Six Day Members

Six Day Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Full Members except that they shall not be entitled to play golf on any Saturday, shall not be entitled to vote, shall not be eligible to hold office. They may serve on sub-committees.

Provisional Six Day Members

New persons joining the Club as a Six Day Member are initially admitted to Provisional Six Day Membership. This provides all of the privileges of Six Day Membership, with the exception of not being able to book for tee times in the Wednesday competition field until 6:15am the day before. Provisional Six Day Members are also not permitted to vote or hold office.

Five Day Members

Five Day Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Full Members except that they shall not be entitled to vote, shall not be eligible to hold office, and shall not be entitled to play golf on any Saturday or Sunday.

Provisional Five Day Members

New persons joining the Club as a Five Day Member are initially admitted to Provisional Five Day Membership. This provides all of the privileges of Five Day Membership, with the exception of not being able to book for tee times in the Wednesday competition field until 6:15am the day before. Provisional Five Day Members are also not permitted to vote or hold office.

Four Day Members

Four Day Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Full Members, except that they shall not be entitled to vote, shall not be entitled to hold office and shall not be entitled to play golf on the Club links on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays. Restrictions apply on Tuesday except as a guest of a Member and subject to payment of the prescribed fee.

Senior Intermediate Members

A Senior Intermediate Member is a Member of the Club who is at least 25 years of age, but not over 40 years of age at the beginning of the Club’s financial year. Unless otherwise determined by the Board, Senior Intermediate Members will only be able to play on the Club links on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, shall not be entitled to vote and shall not be eligible to hold office and shall not be eligible to compete in Championship and Honour Board events.

Distance Members

Any person who usually resides at any place more than one hundred and twenty (120) kilometres distant from the General Post Office at Brisbane may be elected or put upon the list of Distance Members during such time as the member resides beyond such limit. Distance Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Full Members except that they may only use the golf course ten times in any membership year and on six further occasions on payment of the Member Introduced Green Fee applicable at that time. Thereafter any use of the golf course would require payment of the non-Member Introduced Green Fee applicable at that time. They shall not be entitled to vote, shall not be eligible to hold office and shall not be eligible to compete in Championship or Honour Board events conducted by the Club.

Six Day Distance Members

Any person who usually resides at a place more than one hundred and twenty (120) kilometres distant from the General Post Office at Brisbane may be elected or put upon the list of Six Day Distance Members during such time as the member resides beyond such limit. Six Day Distance Members may use the golf course six times in any membership year at no charge and on six further occasions on payment of the Member Introduced Green Fee applicable at that time. Thereafter any use of the golf course would require payment of the non-Member Introduced Green Fee applicable at that time. Six Day Distance Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Six Day Members, shall not be entitled to play golf on the Club links on Saturdays, shall not be eligible to compete in Championship or Honour Board events conducted by the Club.

Service Members

A Commissioned Officer of Her Majesty’s Permanent Navy, Army or Air Force may be elected as a Service Member. Service Members shall be entitled to the same privileges as Full Members except that they shall not be entitled to vote and shall not be eligible to hold office. Service Members shall not be liable for any Entrance Fee.

Intermediate Members

An Intermediate Member is a Member of the Club who is at least eighteen years of age but not over twenty five years of age at the beginning of the Club’s financial year. Intermediate Members shall not be entitled to vote, and shall not be eligible to hold office, but otherwise shall be entitled to all the privileges of an Full Member.

Junior Members

A Junior Member is a Member of the Club who is at least 10 years of age but not over eighteen years of age at the beginning of the Club’s financial year. Junior Members shall not be entitled to vote and shall not be eligible to hold office but otherwise shall be entitled to all the privileges of Full Members.
